Import HDPE Film offers between April 20 to April 30 on LC at sight/LC 90 days, CIF Main Port basis
Description: *Offers on LC 90 daysMarket sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that offers for import HDPE Film cargoes in the Asia market are breaking a new threshold level and gradually becoming apparent. Following the Coronavirus pandemic, global market demand has been slowing down significantly, thus, import HDPE Film offers of various origins to Asia market continue to move in a downward motion. In India, a trader revealed that the offer received for HDPE Film of Saudi origin captured between $680-720/ton. Despite the low offers, there is no deal concluded as the company prefers the sideline positions and clearing the inventory on hand amid the lockdown in the country.
While in Vietnam, market sources revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM ahead of the long weekend holiday in the country for Reunification (April 30) and Labor day (May 1), the done deals for HDPE Film of various origin concluded below $700/ton-level. For US and Uzbekistan origin, done deals were achieved at $680/ton and $665/ton respectively. A trader also stated to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company managed to sell Middle Eastern HDPE Film cargoes at $690-700/ton in the week commencing April 20.
In China, market sources reported that US HDPE Film cargoes are offered between $710-730/ton and the done deals were captured around $700-710/ton. For HDPE Film of Ukraine origin, done deals were recorded below $700/ton, at $680/ton. While for Indonesian HDPE Film cargoes, market talks have it that the cargoes were sold at $680/ton. All transactions on CIF main ports basis. According to SSESSMENTS.COM’s pricing database, the lowest transaction in April for HDPE Film was at $640/ton for both Middle East and Southeast Asian origin on LC at sight, CIF China main ports basis. These levels were recorded at the beginning of the month.
