Transactions for import PE between March 23 to April 1 on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis
Chinese PE market participants contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM disclosed pertaining to the free fall of import PE offers to China market and set a new low in history. For HDPE Film, offers for United Arab Emirates cargoes decreased by $80/ton compared to a week earlier, now available at $640/ton. At the time of publication, market talks have it that a Malaysian producer sold HDPE Film cargoes at $650/ton.
For LDPE Film, SSESSMENTS.COM was informed that Russian cargoes are the lowest, captured at $700/ton. Further added, a trader said buyers voiced out acceptable level for US LDPE Film cargoes are at $600/ton. All transactions stated in this paragraph are on LC at sight, CIF China main ports basis.
For LLDPE Film C4, a Chinese trader managed to conclude deals for Indonesian cargoes at $670/ton. Previously, SSESSMENTS.COM reported that cargoes of the same origin were concluded at $730/ton on March 25 and at $670/ton on March 27. As for LLDPE Film C6, Saudi origin cargoes are available at $600/ton.
