Local PE offers on cash, FD Indonesia basis and excluding 10% VAT
A distributor in Indonesia told SSESSMENTS.COM that buyers are bewildered by the speed of PE price changes. The market remains quiet after several upward adjustments on local offers applied by some suppliers. “The customers are in shock as PE prices are increasing too fast. Most are still considering whether to make procurement or not,” the distributor said.
The distributor further informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the leading Indonesian polyolefins producer is experiencing backlogs. Thus, the producer has no allocation for spot basis while supply to contract-based customers remains normal. According to the distributor, the producer is struggling to clear the backlogs. Backlog for HDPE Film and HDPE Blow Moulding is almost solved. Meanwhile, for LLDPE Film C4, cargoes have been delivered to customers.
