NewsSSESSMENTS: Japanese PVC Producer Gives Sneak Peek For July Shipment Offers, Considers More Than A Hundred Dollar Adjustment

Author: SSESSMENTS

A Japanese PVC producer gives a sneak peek for July shipment offers and is considering more than a hundred dollar adjustment for certain markets. On Tuesday, June 9, the producer was contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team and notified that July shipment offers have yet to be released. However, the offers will likely be announced around late today or tomorrow morning, the producer says. At the moment, the producer could only express their sell idea for July shipment. To the India market, the producer is planning to offer between $850-890/ton on LC at sight, CIF India Main Port basis, or between $90-130/ton higher compared to June shipment offers. While to the China and Southeast Asia market, the offer may stand between $780-790/ton on LC at sight, CIF Main Port basis, or between $90-100/ton higher compared to the same period.

Speaking of feedback, the producer voiced out to SSESSMENTS.COM that they still could not predict the market responses. Particularly for the Vietnam market, the producer actually received lots of inquiries from the customers last week; hence, it is safe to say that demand in Vietnam is robust. But, the producer is still unsure whether their July shipment offers will be well-accepted by Vietnamese buyers considering the plan to make a hefty increase.

The producer further added to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company is targeting to sell as much as 17,000 tons to the export market for this month, citing that PVC demand in Japan is sluggish as of recent.
