The largest local trading house in Indonesia shared with SSESSMENTS.COM on the latest adjustment for local and localized Southeast Asian PE, PP offers from the trader’s end. This week, offers for HDPE Blow Moulding moved up by IDR300,000/ton ($20/ton) following the healthy demand for this grade. In contrast, HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 offers dropped by IDR100,000/ton ($6/ton) and IDR600,000/ton ($39/ton), respectively. While for HDPE Injection, the offers declined by IDR300,000/ton ($20/ton). As for PP, offers for PP Homo Raffia and PP Homo Injection decreased by IDR500,000/ton ($33/ton). Likewise, offers for PP Homo Film decreased by IDR300,000/ton ($20/ton). All offers compared to last week’s levels.
In the import market, no fresh offers received by the trader. Demand-wise, overall PE and PP demand in Indonesia remains slow. The market is quieter as most businesses are not fully running amid Ramadhan (fasting month). The trader opined to SSESSMENTS.COM that demand would be even slower approaching Eid Al-Fitr.
