As contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team, a leading Taiwanese PVC producer dropped hints about June shipment pricing and April shipment compensation for India market. As informed, the producer is planning to announce June shipment offers on May 19, citing that Coronavirus lockdown in India should be lifted by then. For pricing, the producer commented that an increase of $30/ton from the previous levels should be acceptable to customers. In terms of allocation, the June shipment allocation will be normal as all of the company’s plants are running normally.
The producer also informed SSESSMENTS.COM regarding April shipment compensation for India market. The company gave two options for customers who had closed deals for April shipment. First, customers can simply cancel orders if the cargoes have not been shipped out yet. However, if the customers still want to continue with the shipment, they will only need to pay at the upcoming June shipment’s price level. Second, the company will give price compensation to the customers for the gap between April shipment and June shipment prices if the cargoes are already on board.
