NewsSSESSMENTS: Leading Taiwanese PVC Producer May Skip Offers To India

Author: SSESSMENTS

A producer source contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM stated that the leading Taiwanese PVC producer will delay the offer to India market for May shipment. According to the source, the company plans to announce the offers this week. However, as India is under lockdown and the market situation is not clear, the producer intends to skip the offers to India. Offers for May shipment to India will be announced later.

Likewise, Indian market players stated to SSESSMENTS.COM that the offers from the leading Taiwanese PVC producer are still going to surface once the lockdown in India is lifted. As such, the announcement would not come in the near time. Further added, “The offers from the leading Taiwanese PVC producer to India may come in late April. Or maybe they will skip the offers for May shipment to India market if the lockdown is being extended.”

On March 24, the Government of India ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days and expected to be lifted on April 14. However, as the Coronavirus pandemic has not been under control, the government extended the lockdown by another two weeks, which will end on April 30. Some state-wide extensions have been announced in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Odisha. Despite the current situation, as the economic sector has been severely affected, India is planning to restart some manufacturing sector after April 15 to offset the economic damage due to the nationwide lockdown.
