A Chinese trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM the updates on local PE and PP prices in the country as of May 11. Compared to the price list received on Friday, May 8, local PE and PP prices moved in different directions. Local offers for HDPE grades remained unchanged, except for HDPE Cable 100S, HDPE Film 6097, HDPE Injection 7260, and HDPE Pipe (PE 100) went up between CNY100-200/ton ($14-28/ton). Contrastingly, offers for LDPE across all grades dipped by CNY150/ton ($21/ton) while offers for LLDPE grades maintained stable. For PP, most offers for PP Homo Raffia grades dropped by CNY200/ton ($28/ton), except for grade Z30S remained stable. Likewise, offers for BOPP, PP Homo Fiber and PP Random Copolymer Injection 4228 were adjusted down between CNY200-400/ton ($28-56/ton), while offers for other PP grades remain unchanged.
