NewsSSESSMENTS: Malaysian Converter Shared Deals For Import LLDPE Cargoes, Revealed Notable Gap From The Initial Offers

Author: SSESSMENTS

A Malaysian converter shared with SSESSMENTS.COM regarding deals for import LLDPE Film C4 cargoes and revealed the notable gap from the initial offers. This week, the converter has purchased two containers of Saudi LLDPE Film C4 for April shipment at $20/ton lower than the initial offer level. Likewise, the converter also managed to secure Canadian LLDPE Film C4 cargoes at $60/ton lower than the initial offers received last week, with a volume of purchase around 200 tons.

At the moment, the trader’s major focus is collecting payment from their end-buyers, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. Citing that some of their customers are facing difficulties in making payment, while some even could not afford to pay due to slow business. Considering the sluggish demand and low feedstock prices, the converter believes that downtrend will persist and PE prices will soon touch $600/ton-level.
