A subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., Petrochemicals (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd plans to shut its high impact polystyrene (HIPS) plant in the middle of October 2020 for maintenance purposes. A source close to the producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the HIPS plant with a capacity of 110,000 tons/year is slated to remain off-line for 40 days.
