Transactions for import LLDPE Film C4 between June 15 to June 19 on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis

Comments by market players on LLDPE Film C4 market as follows:
“We offer LLDPE Film C4 from the Middle East at $790-800/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. This is the latest price after the increase of between $15-20/ton during the week of June 8-12. In general, before a huge amount of imported materials arrive, the LLDPE Film C4 prices will be just hovering at the current level while converters will stock the cargoes when the prices are low,” a trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM on June 15.
“The leading Saudi polyolefins producer has announced offers for LLDPE Film C4, the latest offers remained stable from last week at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. A Qatari producer also following the same footstep, kept LLDPE Film C4 prices stable from last week's level at $800/ton on the same payment and delivery term. Import supply remains limited since mid-May when ethylene and propylene prices were hiked as well as other countries have gradually resumed their businesses following coronavirus-related lockdowns,” as told by a global trading house on June 17.
“North America origin LLDPE Film C4 now at $800/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis, with no comparison from last week. Cargoes allocations are limited and distributed by traders,” a converter reveals to SSESSMENTS.COM on June 17.
“We think most of the fresh import offers will come out on Monday (June 22) or Tuesday (June 23) because it coincides before the Chinese national holiday. With changes in the allocations, import offers for LLDPE Film C4 would be increased without any doubts,” a Chinese trader commented on June 18.
“The prices for LLDPE Film C4 are indeed going up a lot as of recent, although we are afraid to take part in the market as the sustainability of this uptrend is still questionable. Especially after looking at the slow overall demand in Southeast Asia. Even globally, the world's economy is still a bit fragile; just by looking at the stock market which is still on a rollercoaster ride is a very clear signal that the market is still very volatile. Thus, it is a bit risky to make procurement under this kind of situation. As a trader, we just stay on the sidelines this week. The outlook is not very positive,” a trader shared to SSESSMENTS.COM on June 19.
