Comments by market players on LLDPE Film C4 market as follows:
“We concluded deals for LLDPE Film C4 of US origin at $670/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis. The deal is $30/ton lower than the initial offer level and the shipment is directly from the U.S. Offers for the same product from a Saudi producer stand at $700/ton with the same payment and delivery term. LLDPE Film C4 offers from Middle Eastern producers will not drop to below $650/ton as the producer will prefer shutting the plants to selling at such a low level,” an Indonesian converter commented to SSESSMENTS.COM.
“PE offers across all grades from Qatar and Kuwait remain stable compared to last week. However, a Qatari PE producer plans to increase LLDPE Film C4 offers as the producer’s offers were considered too low. Most Middle Eastern suppliers offer at $700/ton level while the producer’s offers stand between $680-690/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis,” an Indonesian trader reported.
“May shipment offers for LLDPE Film C4 from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer were adjusted up by $10/ton compared to offers received in early April,” a Vietnamese trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM.
“Our offers for LLDPE Film C4 of Thailand origin are unchanged from last week, standing at $790/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis,” a global trading house revealed.
“May shipment offers from the United Arab Emirates are rollover from last month, but buyers regarded the offers as high for the current market situation,” a Thai trader said to SSESSMENTS.COM’s team.
“LLDPE Film C4 offers from Saudi producers are stable compared to last week, but the offers are firm as the producers’ allocation is limited,” a Vietnamese trader reported.
“Our offers for LLDPE Film C4 remain stable compared to offers given at the beginning of last week. After buyers in Indonesia and Malaysia submitted bids between $650-670/ton on LC at sight, CIF main port basis last week, we counter-offered at $690/ton with the same payment and delivery terms and managed to sell to both countries at this level. This week, the $690/ton offers are no longer valid. Our offers for LLDPE Film C4 stand between $730-740/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia and Malaysia main port basis,” the marketing arm of a Middle Eastern PE producer revealed.
“May shipment offers for LLDPE Film C4 to Southeast Asia were trimmed between $120-130/ton compared to April shipment,” a Middle Eastern PE producer stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
“We received offers for US LLDPE Film C4 between $670-720/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis. The cargoes are already at Singapore hub,” an Indonesian converter informed.
