Transactions for import PP Homo Raffia offers between May 25 to May 29 on LC at sight, CIF Main Port basis

- Middle East origin $830-860/ton
- Southeast Asia origin $930-950/ton
Comments by market players on PP Homo Raffia as follows:
“Compared to a week earlier, the offers for Saudi PP Homo Raffia increased by $20/ton. While for PP Homo Raffia of Thailand origin, the offer has gone up significantly to $940/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. As such, we opined that buyers will be unwilling to make a procurement at such a level,” a Vietnamese trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM.
“For PP Homo Raffia cargoes of Thailand origin, the offers captured higher by $80/ton from a fortnight ago and the volume is limited which is less than 10 containers. While for China origin, the offers for PP Homo Raffia stood at $960/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. The offers were firm, hence, we did not make procurement for import cargoes. Moreover, we still have a contract with one of the local producers which is sufficient to cover production needs,” another Vietnamese trader added.
“To the export market, the offers for PP Homo Raffia from one of the Thai producers to Vietnam market increased by $15/ton from last week. Following the adjustment, we received cold responses from the buyers. We also noticed that the gap between PP Homo Raffia and PP Homo Injection offers from the producer widened following the availability of the cargoes. As the inventory at the moment is mostly for injection grade, PP Homo Raffia grades are offered at a higher price,” a Thai trader stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
