NewsSSESSMENTS: South Korean PE Offers To China Surfaced With Significant Change, Remain Negotiable

Author: SSESSMENTS

SSESSMENTS.COM noted that South Korean PE offers to China surfaced with a significant change, and remain negotiable. According to the data collected last Wednesday, April 15, import offers for South Korean HDPE Film was available at $780/ton on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis. Meanwhile, this week’s offers for the same grade surfaced with a reduction of $60/ton, stand at $720/ton on the same payment and delivery terms.

Additionally, the producer source informed that prices remain negotiable as deals can be concluded lower than the initial level. To date, some deals closed at $10-20/ton lower than the initial offer level. However, the producer’s allocation is limited citing most players are still on a wait-and-see position and the overall demand from downstream market remains soft, SSESSMENTS.COM was told.
