Import ABS Injections on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis
A producer source informed SSESSMENTS.COM that a South Korean producer has sold out August shipment allocation for HIPS Injection, and opted to amend export ABS Injection offers. As noted, the producer decided to trim ABS Injection offers by $15/ton as compared to last week’s levels. The latest offers for ABS Injection are available at $1,385/ton on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis. The decrease made by the producer was due to poor buying sentiment last week and softer monomer prices. More added, the producer is focusing on clearing backlogs at the moment. Looking ahead, the producer opined that there is a possibility for PS and ABS prices to move lower, as the peak season is already over.
