Market sources contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM informed that acetylene-based PVC prices in the local China market have broken a new threshold level. The latest offers reported below CNY5,000/ton ($623/ton) level, standing at CNY4,900/ton ($611/ton) on cash, EXW China basis and including 13% VAT).
Last week, acetylene-based PVC offers were between CNY5,520-6,100/ton ($688-761/ton). However, in the week commencing March 30, the range of offers for acetylene-based PVC is lowered, between CNY4,900-5,500/ton ($611-686/ton). In the futures market, May 2020 PVC future prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange have fallen CNY1,125/ton ($140/ton).
