Local ethylene-based PVC offers on cash, FD Thailand basis (excluding 7% VAT in all terms)
A source from a Thai PVC producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company is planning to adjust June delivery offers as triggered by the international prices coupled with demand conditions. As contacted on May 19, the source stated that the company will likely adjust up their offers for June delivery between THB1,000-1,250/ton ($31-39/ton) as compared to May delivery offers, following the higher PVC prices in the international market.
Aside from that, the source also counted good PVC resins demand in the domestic market as one of the main reasons behind the pricing decision for June delivery. Speaking of the demand, SSESSMENTS.COM was told that the better demand for PVC resins is mostly supported by the sales for PVC pipe, which is considered good recently. However, approaching mid-June to July, demand for PVC is expected to weaken as the rainy season will kick-in. Despite that, the source believes that most customers would be able to accept higher prices for June delivery since the offers from the import market are going up as well.
