Local PP offers on cash, FD Thailand basis and excluding 7% VAT in all terms
A local trader in Thailand informed SSESSMENTS.COM that currently, there is a supply issue on PP Homo Film from a local producer that led to a shortage in the domestic market. According to the trader, this week, a local PP producer moved up offers for PP Homopolymers grades by THB1,000/ton ($31/ton) compared to a week ago. However, at the moment, the producer does not have available cargoes for PP Homo Film, which led to the lack of supply for these cargoes in the domestic market.
While for PP Homo Raffia and PP Homo Injection, no shortage supply high volume of import cargoes are available in the market. On the demand front, the trader stated to SSESSMENTS.COM that demand for PP in Thailand is not strong yet as orders for the finished products remain limited due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
