Import ethylene-based PVC on LC at sight, CIF India Main Port Basis
Market sources reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the second largest Taiwanese PVC producer has released June shipment offers to the India market. As informed, the producer’s latest offers to the spot market stands at $830/ton on LC at sight, CIF India Main Port. According to market players, the spot offer is much higher due to limited availability stemming from previous lower operating rate due to tight VCM supply. At the time of publication, the producer managed to close the deals at $820/ton after including the volume discount. Since the market response is good, the allocation for June shipment to India has sold out quickly.
Similarly, the producer moved up prices for contract customers by $40/ton higher than May shipment as the response is positive, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. However, the total number of orders will only be known on June 3. More added by market sources, the producer’s VCM production restarted on last Friday after obtaining government approval.
