Import PET Bottle offers on LC at sight, CIF Myanmar Main Port basis
A Myanmar-based trader shared with SSESSMENTS.COM regarding import offers for PET Bottle from China to the country. This week, PET Bottle offers of China origin surfaced with a downward adjustment of $30/ton compared to offers received in early July, currently available at $690/ton. Meanwhile, offers from a new Vietnamese PET producer surfaced at $680-685/ton, which is slightly lower if compared to China cargoes, as the producer attempted to attract potential customers. All offers on LC at sight, CIF Myanmar main port basis.
More added, due to the rainy season, demand for PET Bottle in Myanmar is not that strong. The trader opined to SSESSMENTS.COM that buyers might be reluctant to procure materials since demand for the end-product is not too promising. As such, the trader is not that optimistic about the near-term outlook for PET market in Myanmar.
