A Chinese trader contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM remains on ease despite import PP offers to China market have been adjusted up by three digits. According to the source, offers for import PP Homo Raffia of Saudi origin to China market have increased by $100/ton from last week’s level. At the moment, the offers stand at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis with the deals concluded at the initial offer. The trader further added that local offers in USD denomination are equal to $1,050/ton excluding VAT and customs duty. As such, the trader believes that the sales would be good.
In the local market, offers for PP Homo Raffia increased between CNY800-1,000/ton ($113-142/ton) as compared to last Friday, April 10. Even though the government has stepped into the market to control prices, the trader opined that the uptrend in PP prices would last for a long time taking into account the strong demand for masks from domestic and export market, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
