NewsSSESSMENTS: Vietnam Market Continues To See Import PE Offers Trending Higher, Tightness In Certain Grade Reported

Author: SSESSMENTS

According to SSESSMENTS.COM’s pricing database, Vietnam market continues to see import PE offers trending higher. As reported by a Vietnamese trader, import PE offers are still on an uptrend this week. Import PE offers of Saudi, South Korea and US origin generally increased between $20-30/ton on a weekly comparison. However, the customers only show interest in PE offers from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer and South Korea due to the shorter lead time. Particularly for cargoes from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer, the shipment will be from Singapore since the cargoes are still available in Singapore’s bonded warehouse. Meanwhile, the cargoes from the US and another Saudi producer will be shipped out directly from the US and the Middle East.

Further added by the trader to SSESSMENTS.COM, some customers were placing bids for HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer between $870-900/ton-level. However, sell ideas from the producer are between $880-920/ton-level depending on the volume of purchases. The sell ideas are $880/ton for 500 tons, $900/ton for 300 tons, and $920/ton for purchases below 100 tons. At the time of publication, there are no deals concluded yet, but the producer will finalize by today, on July 1. More added, supply for HDPE Film is a bit short in the market at the moment.
