As told to SSESSMENTS.COM, a Vietnamese converter nixing the latest import PET Bottle offers received this week. PET Bottle cargoes of Indonesia and Thailand origin are pegged by a regional producer at $755-760/ton, up by $20/ton from last week’s levels. Meanwhile, the offers for PET Bottle cargoes from China stands at $730-735/ton. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Port Basis.
The converter informed that they would not take the cargoes since already purchased some volume when the price was still at $725/ton-level, and their raw material is sufficient now. The converter then told SSESSMENTS.COM that import PET Bottle prices will remain on an upward trajectory in line with the feedstock price movements.
