Local ethylene-based PVC offers on cash, FD Vietnam basis, and excluding 10% VAT in all terms
A Vietnamese PVC producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has started offering PVC cargoes for May delivery since last week. Ethylene-based PVC offers from the producer stand at VND16,000,000-16,400,000/ton ($681-698/ton) on cash, FD Vietnam basis, and excluding 10% VAT. As compared to April delivery, the offers decreased around $180-200/ton in US Dollar denomination. So far, the producer gained a good response from buyers citing no lower bids received.
Despite the better sentiment, PVC demand is not strong yet as the Coronavirus fears still haunt the market. The producer opined that the outlook for the PVC market in Vietnam remains cloudy. Even if the country’s condition is getting better concerning the Coronavirus, the other countries are still battling the pandemic; as such, the Vietnam market will most likely follow the international market trend, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
