Import ethylene-based PVC offers on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis
Description: *August shipment offersA Vietnamese PVC producer shared with SSESSMENTS.COM on the pricing strategy for the upcoming August delivery. At the time of publication, the producer has not announced local PVC offers for August delivery yet and is planning to announce the offers within this week. Following the international market trend, the producer indicates an increase of between $20-30/ton for the upcoming August delivery offers.
For import cargoes, the producer is offering materials from a Thai PVC producer for August shipment at $30/ton higher compared to July shipment. No deals concluded yet as these offers are deemed too high. Moreover, buyers are still waiting for more import offers to come out before making any decision. While for demand, the producer predicted PVC demand would not be robust as this time of the year is the seasonal slowdown in Vietnam due to the rainy season, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
