PlantsSSESSMENTS: Chandra Asri Petrochemical Restarted LLDPE Plant

Market sources with knowledge of the matter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Indonesia’s Chandra Asri Petrochemical (CAP) has restarted its LLDPE plant on July 1. According to the sources, the plant with a production capacity of 400,000 tons/year experienced an outage on June 22 afternoon after being brought back on-stream in the morning. Previously, the plant also experienced an unexpected shutdown since early June. As informed by market participants, the LLDPE plant produces LLDPE Film C4 and LLDPE Roto 3840. However, at the time of publication, this plant is still unable to produce prime grade LLDPE.
