Market sources revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) will shut its No.3 cracker unit located in Mailiao, Taiwan. According to sources, the cracker with a production capacity of 1.2 million tons/year of ethylene, 600,000 tons/year of propylene, and 176,000 tons/year of butadiene will be under maintenance shutdown for about 45 days starting from mid-August.
