A source with knowledge of the matter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Hanbang Petrochemical has resumed production at its Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) unit. As stated, the producer halted production at the PTA unit no.2 on May 19 due to an unspecified reason. Initially, the company’s PTA unit no.2 with a production capacity of 2.2 million tons/year was slated to be off-line for about two weeks. However, the producer has just resumed production of the PTA unit which is located in Jiangyin, China on June 21.
