Import PE offers on LC at sight, CIF Manila Port
The marketing arm of a Middle Eastern PE producer in the Philippines told SSESSMENTS.COM that the producer has no offers for particular grades to the country. The source said that there are no HDPE Film and HDPE Blow Moulding offers from the producer as buyers mostly source locally for the grades. The producer only focuses on selling LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 to the Philippines.
Compared to last week, offers for LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 remain stable and firm as the allocation for June shipment is limited. However, customers asked for discounts due to slow end-product sales. No deals were concluded so far and the transaction is still hanging waiting for responses from the producer about the lowest acceptable deal level. The source opined to SSESSMENTS.COM that demand in the Philippines did not improve although the government modified the Enhanced Community Quarantine status of Metro Manila. The market will remain slow in the near term, the source added.
