Comment by market players on LLDPE Film C4 as follows:
“On May 11, the offers for LLDPE Film C4 to the China market were adjusted higher by $10/ton from last week supported by the increases in crude oil prices. However, on May 12, we decided to reduce the offers for LLDPE Film C4 by $10/ton from the previous day level as could not manage to conclude any deals. Thus, we trimmed offers to follow the market movement. After the adjustment, there were some transactions under negotiation. However, the sales for LLDPE Film C4 were not as good as HDPE Film grade,” a Thai PE producer source informed SSESSMENTS.COM.
“For the week commencing May 11, the offers for LLDPE Film C4 from the leading Indian petrochemical producer to China market were trimmed by $20/ton compared to a week earlier,” a trader stated.
“For US LLDPE Film C4, the offers increased by $10/ton on a weekly comparison. Price increases were supported by the satisfactory sales in the past few weeks, hence, the suppliers seem to have no inventory pressure. However, customers’ response was cold and we have no plan to make procurement considering the weak sentiment in the local market,” a Chinese trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on May 12.
“The offers for LLDPE Film C4 from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer stand at $780/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. Compared to the offer before Labor Day holiday, the latest offer is higher by $20/ton,” a global trading house informed on May 12.
“June shipment offers for LLDPE Film C4 from a Qatari producer are available at $745/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis, which is $25/ton higher compared to May shipment offers. Compared to the other import offers, offers from the Qatari producer deemed more attractive. Thus, there were some deals concluded. However, we cannot disclose the done deal level,” a global trading house added on May 14.
