NewsSSESSMENTS: Zilch Activity In Bangladesh PVC Market Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr Holiday

A global trading house told SSESSMENTS.COM that Bangladesh will be starting their Eid Al-Fitr holiday from Thursday, May 21, prompting nil activity in the market. The trader informed that import offers for US PVC cargoes were adjusted up between $40-50/ton from a week earlier, as such, no more offers below $700/ton-level heard available in the Bangladesh market. According to SSESSMENTS.COM’s pricing database, last week’s import offers for US PVC cargoes stood at $690/ton on LC at sight, CFR Chittagong Port. However, the trader is not actively offering because deals cannot be settled as customers could not open Letter of Credit (LC) at the moment.
