A source with knowledge of the matter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical has restarted its cracker unit. As informed, the producer’s cracker unit with a production capacity of 540,000 tons/year of ethylene and 270,000 tons/year of propylene has resumed production on Tuesday, July 7. The cracker unit located in Kashima, Japan, was previously shut for maintenance work on May 9, 2020.
