NewsSSESSMENTS: Japanese PVC Producer Shares Satisfactory Sales For June Shipment, Expectation For Market Outlook

Author: SSESSMENTS

A Japanese PVC producer shared with SSESSMENTS.COM on satisfactory sales for June shipment and expectation for the market outlook. To China market, the offers were adjusted higher by $10/ton compared to the initial offer level announced for June shipment and done deals were achieved at the initial offer level. Similarly, the response from the India market was also satisfactory and deals were concluded at the initial offer level as well. Although some big-scale pipe manufacturers in Vietnam skipped procurements owing to sufficient inventory on hand, the producer stated that the company still managed to move all allocation to the market with the deals achieved at the initial offer level. For the June shipment, the total allocation from the producer is 14,000 tons.

In general, PVC demand is satisfactory. Demand in India is gradually improving although the producer is unsure whether the current trend will be able to sustain as India is on the edge of the monsoon season. However, the producer expects that the ongoing maintenance at some PVC plants in Asia will balance the market and keep the offers firm, as explained to SSESSMENTS.COM.
