PlantsSSESSMENTS: BASF-YPC Shuts Naphtha Cracker

A producer source informed SSESSMENTS.COM that BASF-YPC Company Limited, a 50-50 joint venture between BASF and Sinopec, has shut its naphtha cracker on April 30, 2020. According to the source, the cracker is expected to remain under maintenance until mid-June, 2020. Located in Jiangsu, China, the cracker has a production capacity of 750,000 tons/year of ethylene and 400,000 tons/year of propylene.
