- A Chinese trader contacted by SSESMENTS.COM’s team explained that at the beginning of the week, PE prices were adjusted up following the increases in crude oil prices and the firm offers from the two leading polyolefins producers’ end. However, as traders made an upward price adjustment of between CNY100-200/ton ($14-28/ton), buyers showed a stiff resistance. Sales throughout the week commencing June 1 were slower compared to a week earlier. Due to the cold responses from buyers, on Wednesday afternoon some traders revised down the offers between CNY100-200/ton ($14-28/ton) compared to a day earlier.
- Similarly, a Chinese trader shared the latest company’s price list with SSESMENTS.COM as of June 5. Compared to Thursday, June 4, the latest price list from the trader surfaced with a decrement of CNY150/ton ($21/ton) for LLDPE Film C4 offers to the Northern part of the country.
