- An Indonesian converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company received import LDPE Film offers from a Middle Eastern producer at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis and the deals were concluded at the initial offer level. The converter stated that the producer has no allocation for LLDPE Film C4. While for HDPE Film cargoes, the converter received import offers of Thailand origin at $830/ton with the same payment and delivery terms but deemed too high, hence, the converter did not proceed with the procurement activity.
- Meanwhile, in Thailand, a converter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that finished product demand from the company’s end is very slow, which is only around 20-30% from the normal demand before the pandemic happened. In terms of offers, the converter has yet to receive fresh offers received for this week but expects it will remain stable from last week. Although the government has allowed department stores to reopen again, the converter opined that the market will most likely remain weak in the upcoming month as it will take a while for its positive impact to be seen in the market.
